Waukesha County Man Wins $1.2 Million In Lottery

The winning ticket was purchased at the Fox Brother's Piggly Wiggly at 505 South Cottonwood Avenue in Hartland.

WAUKESHA, WI — Wednesday night's Powerball jackpot has swelled to more than $200 million, however one man in Waukesha County has announced that one man walked away a millionaire after playing the Megabucks lottery game.

According to the Wisconsin Lottery, John Petrusek of Hartland is the lucky winner of $1.2 million from the December 9, 2017 Megabucks drawing. The winning numbers from Saturday, December 9 were 5, 17, 28, 30, 42, and 44.

Petrusek purchased his winning ticket at Fox Brother's Piggly Wiggly at 505 South Cottonwood Avenue in Hartland. Retailers receive a 2 percent incentive of the winning ticket amount up to $100,000.

Megabucks is Wisconsin's own lotto game. Drawings take place every Wednesday and Saturday night. Currently, the Megabucks jackpot is estimated at $1.1 million for Wednesday night's drawing.
