Waukesha Man Catches Fire In Welding Accident: Report
A 58-year-old Waukesha man caught fire during a welding accident, police said.

WAUKESHA, WI — Police and first responders tended to a Waukesha man after he reportedly caught fire during a welding accident, according to reports.
Waukesha police and rescue personnel responded to Wildeck, 405 Commerce St. on May 17 just before midnight on a report of an industrial accident.
Waukesha police told Patch that a 58-year-old man had caught fire during his work shift that evening. Police said that after the man was treated, they interviewed him. He reportedly told police that he was welding steel beams, when he stepped back into a beam, causing the back of his shirt to catch fire.

According to police reports, the man's back and side were burned due to the accident.
Police said that the man was transported to Waukesha Memorial Hospital for further medical treatment. Nothing suspicious or malicious was discovered during the investigation, police said.
