Waukesha Man Charged In Springdale Road Stabbing: Report
According to police, the man who was arrested told police he stabbed his victim because he was constantly bothered.

WAUKESHA, WI -- A 49-year-old Waukesha man has been arrested and charged after authorities say he is the man responsible for a stabbing on Springdale Road on Jan. 22.
According to Waukesha Police reports, officers responded to an apartment on the 2400 block of Springdale Road just after 9 p.m. on Jan. 22 on a report of a stabbing.
When officers investigated, they say that Herbert M. Stokes told police that he was angry at his victim for constantly bothering him. Police determined that the victim was stabbed once in the shoulder and that the wounds were not life-threatening injury.

Police said Stokes was arrested, and has been charged with substantial battery, and also with disorderly conduct, according to court records. Court records indicate Stokes is also accused of domestic abuse and use of a dangerous weapon, and could face additional penalties if he is convicted.
Stokes is currently being held in the Waukesha County Jail on a $1,000 cash bond. His next appearance in court is Jan. 30 for his preliminary hearing, according to court records.
