Waukesha Man Lied About Stabbing, Gets Arrested: Report

WAUKESHA, WI — Authorities in Waukesha say a 32-year-old man has been arrested he called 911 because he was upset with his girlfriend, and then lied about it when police showed up at his door.

According to Waukesha Police call logs, officers were dispatched to an apartment on the 1000 block of Delafield Street just before 1 a.m. on Aug. 9.

Police say the 32-year-old man, who has yet to be formally charged as of Wednesday morning, called 911 to report a stabbing.

When officer arrived, they quickly determined that he intentionally lied about why he called 911, and learned he really called 911 because he was upset with his girlfriend.

According to police, the man had an open warrant out for his arrest through the state Department of Corrections, and was arrested the next day at his house on the warrant.
