Waukesha Obits: Monday, July 11

Marion D. Rice was born in Milwaukee on Jan. 26, 1920, the daughter of Frank and Cecelia (nee Blecha) Smitka. On June 28, 1947 she married Daniel Rice in Bayview, WI; he preceded her in death on Oct. 2, 2000.  Marion worked as a teacher’s aide for Greendale High School for many years until her retirement in 1972. 

Sandra “Sandy” Hoessel was born July 25, 1938. Sandy served in the U.S. Navy as an air traffic controller in Washington D.C. She was also a hospice nurse.
