Waukesha PD Releases Sex Offender Information Bulletin

The Waukesha Police Department, in cooperation with the Sex Offender Registration Committee, is releasing the following information pursuant to Wisconsin State Statutes 301.46(2m) which authorizes law enforcement agencies to inform the public of a sex offender's release when, at the discretion of the agency, the release of information will enhance public safety, awareness and protection.

The individual who appears on this notification has been convicted of a sex offense. Further, his criminal history places him in a classification level which reflects the potential to reoffend.
This sex offender has served the prison sentence imposed on him by the courts. The offender, under the supervision of the Department of Corrections, Division of Community Corrections, will be living in the location listed below. He is not wanted by the police at this time. This notification is not intended to increase fear, rather, it is our belief that an informed public is a safer public.

Sex offenders have always lived in our communities; but it wasn't until Act 440 (June 1997) that law enforcement is now able to share this information with the community. Citizen abuse of this information to threaten, intimidate or harass registered sex offenders will not be tolerated. Please understand that such abuse could potentially end law enforcement's ability to do community notifications. We believe the only person who wins if community notification ends is the sex
offender, since sex offenders derive their power through secrecy.
GAFFNY was convicted in 2017 for Possession of Child Pornography. GAFFNY is to have no unsupervised contact with minors, no taverns/bars/liquor stores, no contact with victims, and not to purchase/possess or consume alcohol or illegal drugs. He is to comply with sex offender rules and will be on lifetime G.P.S. monitoring. GAFFNY will be released to the community with no housing secured at this time.
