Waukesha Police Arrest BP, Clark Armed Robbery Suspects

WAUKESHA, WI — On Friday January 13th, 2017, the Waukesha Police Department arrested the suspects responsible for the Armed Robbery at the BP and Clark Gas Stations.

The investigation led the Waukesha Police Department to a residence in the City of Waukesha, where a suspect was taken into custody. With the assistance of the Waukesha Sheriff’s Department police were able to locate and arrest the second suspect.

Although police have not officially released their names, the names of the suspects released in the booking photos correspond to Waukesha County Jail inmate records to Anthony Deleon and Mitchell Gamroth.

Throughout this investigation, the Waukesha Police Department received many tips from the community regarding these suspects. Police officials state that they appreciated all of the community members who came forward with information and assisted with getting these violent offenders safely into custody. These suspects have been confined at the Waukesha County Jail and are awaiting formal charges to be filed.

The Clark Robbery

On Sunday, Jan 8. Waukesha police responded to the Clark Gas Station at 1436 E. Moreland Blvd. on a report of an armed robbery just before 7 p.m.

According to police, a masked man brandished a firearm, pointed it at the clerk, and demanded money. Police say cash was taken from the clerk and the two suspects fled prior to police arrival.

According to police reports, the suspects fled the Clark Gas Station just after 7 p.m. on foot, last headed southbound on Murray, with one witness stating one of the males jumped over a fence and ran westbound in the neighborhood.
Police responded to the 1800 block of Murray on a resident's report that he saw a male subject wearing a dark-colored jacked walk through his yard.

According to the report, the male was observed heading toward the train tracks. A short time later, a resident on the 1600 block of Whiterock reported that there was a possible burglar inside the house, but he was gone upon the arrival of police.

After locating fresh footprints on the railroad tracks heading southbound toward Moreland, police requested that all railroad traffic be shut down in the area.

Police checked with Best Cab to determine whether anyone matching the description of the suspects were picked up by any drivers. Best Cab reportedly did not pick up anyone matching the suspects' description.
After an extensive search, authorities cleared the neighborhood surrounding the Clark Gas Station.

The BP Robbery

According to police reports, Waukesha police were alerted via a silent holdup alarm just after 8:30 p.m.
Several squads responded to the BP, and quickly learned that two subjects wearing masks entered the store, and one held a handgun directly to the clerk's head, demanding money.

According to the report, both suspects fled on foot, running down Arcadian.
According to the report, the suspects got into a vehicle, and police reported that cash was "floating around on Rosemary behind New Tribe" as they hurriedly fled.
Police conducted an extensive search of the area utilizing K9 units
