Waukesha Police Arrest Reckless Driver: Report

Police say Joanne Valdez, went through lock-ups on Tuesday and has been charged with misdemeanor resisting or obstructing an officer.

WAUKESHA, WI — Waukesha police arrested a woman for reckless driving early Monday after another motorist saw her weaving in-and-out of traffic.

Waukesha police told Patch.com that the woman involved in the case, Joanne Valdez, went through lock-ups on Tuesday and has been charged with misdemeanor resisting or obstructing an officer. She was held on $50 cash bond in the Waukesha County jail.

According to the criminal complaint, a passing motorist saw that the red Honda Civic she was driving was weaving in-and-out of her lane, was driving about 20 miles per hour over the speed limit and was rolling through stop signs.

Police caught up with Valdez at her place of residence on Grand after she had passed Carroll University and was reported to be speeding on Newhall.
