100 MPH Driver Arrested for Multiple Traffic Violations after High-Speed Police Pursuit

A police pursuit through Waukesha early Saturday that reached 100 MPH resulted in disabling the suspect's vehicle.

WAUKESHA, WI — Waukesha police successfully disabled a vehicle that was the subject of a police chase that reached speeds of 100 miles per hour early Saturday morning.

According to police reports, Waukesha police joined a police pursuit involving the Waukesha County Sheriff's Office and a suspect's vehicle on Early Saturday morning. According to the Waukesha County Sheriff's office, authorities pursued the suspect for speeding on the freeway, in addition to weaving and lane deviation while approaching Grandview.

According to police reports, as Waukesha Police responded to the pursuit, they observed the vehicle swerving and running red lights heading southbound from Northview at 88 miles per hour at 2:12 a.m. Saturday.

The suspect's vehicle approached St. Paul Ave. and passed Burrie at 60 miles per hour before running a stop sign and continuing eastbound on St. Paul.

The suspect's vehicle continued southbound on Sunset Drive heading at 88 miles per hour. According to reports, the driver passed Rose Glen School at 80 Miles Per hour before hitting 100 miles per hour on Green Country.

The vehicle hit "stop sticks" which shredded multiple tires on the vehicle.

The suspect continued westbound, eventually reaching the intersection of Highway 83 and Sunset with shredded tires.

At 83 and Sunset, the driver hit the "stop sticks" again, shredding all tires on the vehicle, and slowing the vehicle to less than 50 miles per hour as the driver struggled to maintain control of the vehicle.

Police performed a PIT maneuver at Highway E where the vehicle was successfully disabled and the driver was finally taken into custody by authorities.
