Waukesha Police Called Over 2 Missing Hot Dogs

A man on Greenmeadow drive called police, reporting that it was "chili dog night" and someone came in and stole his hot dogs.

WAUKESHA, WI — Waukesha police responded to a home on the 500 block of Greenmeadow Drive just before 5 p.m. on Jan. 17 on a report of a home burglary.

According to police reports, the resident returned home from work, only to find that the dinner his wife made was half-eaten. He asked his daughter if she ate it, and police dispatchers recorded that the man believed someone came in and at the food. He also told authorities that the food was still warm.

According to reports, the man told police that it was "chili dog night" at the house and that he found that two out of three hot dogs were missing out of a plastic bag left for him by his wife.

According to a CBS 58 report, the man said that his family was out of town, and a neighbor told them that a silver or grey Volvo was parked in their driveway.

Reports indicated that the man already bought new doorknobs for the home. In the end, police were unable to substantiate any kind of criminal complaint.
