Waukesha Police Invite Public Comments During Accreditation Process

WAUKESHA, WI — The public is invited to provide feedback as the Waukesha Police Department seeks professional accreditation with a state law enforcement group.
The Waukesha Police Department is scheduled for an on-site assessment as part of a program to achieve accreditation by verifying it meets professional standards.
Administered by the Wisconsin Law Enforcement Accreditation Group (WILEAG), the accreditation program requires agencies to comply with state-of- the-art standards in four basic areas: policy and procedures, administration, operations, and support services.

Agency employees and the public are also invited to offer comments by calling 262-901-5289 on June 14 th , 2017 between the hours of 1 PM and 3 PM. Comments will be taken by the WILEAG Assessment Team assigned to conduct this assessment.
Telephone comments are limited to 10 minutes and must address the agency’s ability to comply with WILEAG’s standards. A copy of the standards is available at the Waukesha police Department located at 1901 Delafield Street Waukesha, WI 53188.
