Waukesha Salvation Army Looking For Bell Ringers
If you could collect between $40-50 per hour to put toward your favorite local charities, would you do it?

WAUKESHA, WI — If you could collect between $40-50 per hour for your favorite local charities, would you do it?
That's the question the Waukesha County Salvation Army is asking as they look to fill out their volunteer schedule for nearly 50 red kettle locations across Waukesha County with bell-ringers.
"It's the ringing of the bell, and the person who says Merry Christmas that makes all the difference," Andy Smith, Waukesha County Salvation Army, Director of Marketing Communications, said. "I wish we had enough people for every kettle, but we don't. Unmanned, those kettles collect little or nothing."

The Waukesha Salvation Army is headlong into its second week of the holiday-season campaign to raise $700,000 to provide funding for a variety of local resources. Those resources include:
- Operating the largest homeless shelter for men in Waukesha County
- Operating a large food pantry
- Providing free hot meals for hundreds in its Waukesha dining hall on three evenings each week; and, many more outreach, hunger and youth programs.

Smith said that it's easy to volunteer to be a Salvation Army bell ringer. Volunteers have the ability to pick the days and times they want to volunteer.
Smith said all a person needs to do is go to waukeshasalvationarmy.org and click on the link at the top of the website that says, CLICK HERE TO RING BELLS THIS YEAR! After a couple short steps, you'll be off and running — or should we say ringing.
