Waukesha Sheriff Arrests Man At Gunpoint

Sheriff's deputies held the man at gunpoint until a ladder truck could arrive.

WAUKESHA, WI — Deputies with the Waukesha County Sheriff's office took an apparent opiate user into custody after a foot chase and ending with the man being held at gunpoint prior to his arrest.

This case started early Saturday morning just before 1 a.m. on the 300 block of Arlingon St. on a report of a man down.

According to police reports, a man who reportedly took "some type of opiates" was laying on the bathroom floor and wasn't moving.

By the time police responded, the man had been roused, and took off on foot, running over by the train cars nearby.

At one point, the man climbed onto the train, and had been trying to hide on a roof of one of the train cars.

The sheriff's office responded just after 1 a.m. and held the man at gunpoint until a ladder truck arrived to take the man down, and into custody.
