Waukesha Vehicle Owner Catches Burglar In The Act: Report
Police told Patch that a 55-year-old homeowner discovered that someone was rummaging through his van.

WAUKESHA, WI -- Police say the quick actions of two Waukesha residents led to the arrest of a man seen breaking into a van on Wilson Ave.
According to police reports, officers were called to a home on the 100 block of Wilson Ave. just after 9:30 p.m. on Feb. 4 on a report of a vehicle break-in.
Police told Patch that a 55-year-old homeowner discovered that someone was rummaging through his van, and that he confronted him over breaking into his vehicle.

Police said that the homeowner and a neighbor of his managed to restrain the 49-year-old suspect, and hold his wrists behind his back until police arrived several minutes later.
Police told Patch that the person who was arrested was also being held on suspicion of possessing drug paraphernalia, and is awaiting formal charges in court.
