Waukesha Woman Stabs Man With Steak Knife; Is Arrested

WAUKESHA, WI — A Waukesha woman has been arrested and is awaiting potential charges in the Waukesha County Jail on suspicion that she stabbed and injured a man during an apparent altercation late Monday evening.

According to Waukesha police, officers and a rescue squad responded to the Putney Apartments near the 300 block of South St. just before Midnight on Monday that a man had a stab wound to his left leg and the woman was still in the apartment and had a knife.

According to reports, when police arrived on the scene, the woman had some marks indicative of a physical struggle.

Police responded and blocked traffic in the area, and the department's shield team cleared the area and made sure a five-year-old child in the same apartment was safe as well.

Police described the knife the woman allegedly used as a common steak knife.
