Waukesha Woman Stole Neighbor's Cat For A Year

WAUKESHA, WI — A neighbor who had his cat go missing for a year eventually found his cat - living happily next door.

Waukesha police responded to a residence on the 300 block of N. Greenfield Ave. after a resident on the block called police stating that he lost his cat about a year ago, only to find out that his elderly neighbor had it inside her house next door.

When the man talked with the neighbor about the cat, the woman reportedly changed her story several times about how she got the cat.

The man told police that the cat had a distinctive mark near one of its eyes and it matches the description of his neighbor's cat.

After police responded, the cat was turned over without incident.
