What's the Deal With Plans For Waukesha Panera Bread?

WAUKESHA - We're waiting to hear some news from Panera, Fox River Shoppes and the city on what's happening with plans for a Panera Bread in Waukesha.

In June, multiple media outlets reported that Waukesha residents interested in dining at Panera Bread may soon get their wish.

According to a Waukesha Freeman report at the time, the time may have finally come with the restaurant famous for its bread, pastries, sandwiches and soups planned for the Shoppes at Fox River.

The Freeman report said that Community Development Director Jennifer Andrews confirmed Panera will be part of the phase of development underway at the Shoppes at Fox River on the western edge of Sunset Drive.

A date had yet to be announced for the Panera opening, and the plans for a Panera bread have not come before the plan commission yet. Patch.com has a call out to the Shoppes at Fox River and Panera Bread for more information.
