Woman Mistook Cell Phone-Waving Customer For Gun: Report
Waukesha police fielded a call about a robbery in progress at the Kwik Trip on E. Moreland Blvd. just after 3 p.m. Friday.

WAUKESHA, WI — A Friday afternoon incident at Kwik Trip was much ado about nothing after a woman called the police, thinking that two black men entered the gas station store with guns drawn.
According to police reports, Waukesha police fielded a call about a robbery in progress at the Kwik Trip on E. Moreland Blvd. just after 3 p.m. Friday on a report that a woman saw a man enter Kwik Trip waving a handgun around.
When police investigated the incident, they learned that it was business as usual at the Kwik Trip, and nobody with firearms was ever found.

Police told Patch that during the course of the police investigation, they reviewed store surveillance footage and learned that the item in question wasn't a handgun at all - but was actually a cell phone.
According to police reports, when police talked with the clerk, they said the people in question who came into the store were regular customers, and that no robbery took place.
