Woman Who Found 1 Year Old Was Punched In Face

WAUKESHA, WI — Waukesha police responded to the 300 block of W. Newhall Ave. just after 1 p.m. Thursday on a report of Juvenile Trouble.

According to police reports, a concerned citizen found a one-year-old child wandering around outside that appeared to be unattended.

When the citizen and his girlfriend began checking into the apparent lost child, the mother of the child came out and punched the caller's girlfriend, accorind to police reports.

When police went to investigate the situation, the person who called police was no longer willing to meet with an officer to make a complaint for the child being left unattended.

The woman who was punched reportedly also no longer wished a criminal complaint for battery.
