A woman who reportedly threatened a Waukesha County judge with violence following a sentencing hearing now faces more time behind bars.

WAUKESHA, WI — A woman who reportedly threatened a Waukesha County judge with violence following a sentencing hearing now faces more time behind bars.

Michelle Boswell, 34, Green Bay, has been charged with Battery or Threat to a Judge, and two counts of disorderly conduct. She is currently being held in the Waukesha County Jail on a $5,000 cash bond.

According to a Journal Sentinel report on Thursday, Boswell was reportedly upset that Waukesha County Circuit Court Judge Michael Maxwell sentenced her to a jail term in a misdemeanor theft case that was filed in Sep. 2015.

In that case, she reportedly forged checks from her Waukesha employer to pay for her own rent.

According to the criminal complaint filed in Waukesha County Circuit Court, Boswell sent a facebook message to the judge the day after her sentencing that stated, "Why do people who ruin lives and come on social media show all their family and friends! Stupid [expletive]."

Then Boswell sent the Judge another message later that day that read: "... Hope some [expletive] shoots you on the way home from work your pathetic excuse for a honkey."

When Boswell reported for her sentence in the retail theft crime, she was made aware of the seriousness of her statements made over Facebook to the judge who sentenced her.

She faces up to three years behind bars on the felony charge.
