Women And Girls Fund Announces 2020 Women Of Distinction Honorees

Three women and an Oconomowoc High School graduate will be honored during the 36th annual Women of Distinction celebration on October 2.

WAUKESHA (August 10, 2020) – Three women and an Oconomowoc High School graduate will be honored during the 36th annual Women of Distinction celebration on October 2.

For the first time, the signature annual fundraiser of the Women and Girls Fund of Waukesha County will be held virtually, with showings at 12 p.m. and 7 p.m.

• Linda Caldart-Olson of Mukwonago, who has had a long and distinguished career as a health care professional and community leader. An active participant and leader in statewide and national school nurses groups, she has also demonstrated a commitment to a wide variety of community organizations dedicated to improving quality of life.
• Angela Mancuso of Milwaukee, executive director of the Women’s Center of Waukesha and president of the Board of Directors of the Housing Action Coalition. She is known as a consummate advocate for society’s most vulnerable members, and volunteers with organizations that work to improve opportunities for at-risk populations.
• Sherri Mowery-Perrigo of Pewaukee, an active community volunteer and philanthropist. Now retired, she was a member of the GE executive team for more than three decades and was known as a leader of high performing teams at GE Healthcare who consistently mentored and supported women in the workplace.
• Madison Musselman of Oconomowoc, a 2020 graduate of Oconomowoc High School. Recognized by teachers and peers as both a school and community leader, she is also known as a student who has met high academic goals and dedicated herself to service. In the fall, she will attend the University of Wisconsin-Madison, studying neurobiology and Spanish.

The WGF, established in 2004, seeks to aid and enrich the lives of women and girls so they become thriving residents of their communities. The WGF annually awards grants to non-profit organizations that support projects and programs that promote the health, education, well-being and empowerment of women and girls of all ages.
