Would-Be Car Burglar Gets Surprise on University Dr.

WAUKESHA, WI — A would-be car thief got a surprise early Saturday when he tried to break into a vehicle on the 800 block of S. University Drive.

According to police reports, a woman was sitting in her driveway in her silver Monte Carlo when a male suspect between 18-25 years old wearing a backpack, black baseball hat and black T-Shirt opened the car door and attempted to get inside, only to notice the woman sitting in the vehicle.

The man fled, but the woman did not remember the direction he ran off. She called police, however the suspect was gone up on police arrival.
