• Trial begins for former Waupun Correctional nurse charged in inmate death (wbay.com) — A former nurse at Waupun Correctional Institution is on trial over how she responded as an inmate’s health declined before his death in 2023. Testimony so far has focused on what staff saw and did as the man complained of pain and struggled to breathe. This is the first of several cases involving former Waupun staffers to reach trial.
