15-Year-Old Flees Police In Stolen Car, Is Arrested: Report

Wauwatosa police say they arrested a 15-year-old boy and 16-year-old girl after fleeing officers in a stolen car that crashed into a garage.

WAUWATOSA, WI — Police in Wauwatosa say a 15-year-old boy fled officers in a stolen car. He, and a 16-year-old passenger in the car were wanted by police.

At just after 11 a.m. Friday, Wauwatosa police officers were called to the scene of a suspicious vehicle in a neighborhood at W. 75th St. and W. Clarke St.

According to Wauwatosa police reports, an officer on patrol attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a vehicle at N. 66th St. and W. Lisbon Ave. because the vehicle was registered as stolen out of Milwaukee the day before.

The driver of the vehicle, a 15-year-old boy, fled the traffic stop, crashed into a garage at N. 66th St. and W. Moltke Ave., drove through a stop sign at N. 60th St. and W. Chambers St. and crashed into another vehicle.

Police said one of the suspects was transported to Froedtert Memorial Hospital with minor injuries.

According to police, the three people inside the vehicle that fled the traffic stop were between 14 and 16 years old. The driver was a 15-year-old boy, and a 16-year-old girl in the passenger seat had warrants out for their arrest. Wauwatosa police have not publicly said what the warrants were for.
