Active Minds Marquette Suicide and Depression Walk & VIgil

Each year, 1,100 college students die by suicide. This event is held in remembrance of the lives lost to suicide and in support of those who have been affected by suicide or struggled with depression.

The Suicide and Depression Awareness Walk and Vigil is a chance for Active Minds club members and the greater Marquette community to recognize the impact that both suicide and depression have on college campuses, and to draw attention to resources available on campus.

Each year, 1,100 college students die by suicide. The event is held in remembrance of the lives lost to suicide and in support of those who have been affected by suicide or struggled with depression.

The event will take place Sunday, April 14, and 6:00pm in front of Lalumiere Hall. We will do a brief walk around campus and then meet by the Joan of Arc Chapel where a few student stories will be told and have a moment of silence in rememberence.

It is a great opportunity to come and gain awareness about depression and suicide. We hope to see you there!
