Calling All Cribbage Enthusiasts!

Calling all Cribbage Enthusiasts!  The Wauwatosa Neighborhood Association Council is excited to announce plans for the first Annual Wauwatosa Neighborhood Association Cribbage Tournament to be held November 8, 2013 at the Wauwatosa Woman’s Club.

Spearheaded by the Lowell Damon Woods NA, the tournament will feature two-person cribbage teams from Neighborhood Associations throughout Wauwatosa vying for bragging rights for their neighborhood association as the winner of the tournament. In adding to the fun, the winning team will have their photo taken with the coveted traveling tournament trophy. 

Larry Kopperud, event organizer and Treasurer of Lowell Damon Woods has been running a local tournament for his Neighborhood Association for a couple of years.  “The cribbage tournament is great fun and we are looking forward to making it an all-city event,” Kopperud says.  “We hope to involve as many Neighborhood Associations as possible.”

Team entries for the All Neighborhood Association Cribbage Tournament are due by September 20, 2013.  Each of Wauwatosa’s 28 Neighborhood Associations is invited to enter their top teams.

While they can choose their teams however they would like for this inaugural event, Neighborhood Associations are encouraged to hold a local qualifying tournament before the entry deadline. To help with this, Larry has developed a comprehensive ‘Tournament Kit’ that he is happy to share with any interested Neighborhood Association groups/individuals.
