Mom to mom (or dad). Ideas to keep your kids active

Places I have tried that were great for my son.

If you are like me, you probably try to get your child involved in area activities but want to let them choose what they like.

Here are some area places that I found to be great for my 6 year old son. (I am not getting paid to endorse any of these places. Just passing along what I found to be great!)

This school is much smaller than most martial arts schools. It actually is very reasonably priced too. My son used to go to one of the larger schools and I always felt like it was a machine. In, next, out... Here they get much more hands on instruction and learn some really great principals to live by.

2. Freestyle Dance Studio. http://www.freestyle-dancestudio.com/

Though it is in Milwaukee, it is right on the edge. This is a great place for little ones to go get their energy out while learning some moves. They have a team atmosphere and they also offer classes for adults. Very resonably priced at $20 a month for the kids classes.

3. Tosa Rec http://www.wauwatosa.k12.wi.us/tosarec/youth_activities.cfm

They have any activity you can imagine for your kids. Swimming lessons, dance classes, art, etc. Most classes are very resonably priced.

4. Kids in Motion http://www.kidsinmotionwi.com/

This place is not in Tosa, but it is a great place for kids to go use their imagination and to climb, jump, and run. It is not a structured activitiy like the other places listed but it is a lot of fun for a weekend afternoon. They allow you to bring in food and are very nice people.

5. Milwaukee County Zoo http://www.zoosociety.org/Education/

Most people I talk to are not aware that the zoo offers classes for kids. They have some great classes for all ages.

I hope you found this helpful and gives you some ideas of how to keep your child busy this summer. Feel free to share others that you may be aware of.
