City Of Wauwatosa: CDC Recommends Face Masks Indoors For Fully Vaccinated People

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) announced updated recommendations for wearing face masks indoors, even if you are vaccinated.

Their recommendation says that everyone in areas of substantial or high transmission should wear a mask in indoor public spaces. When this article was published, Milwaukee and Waukesha Counties were listed at substantial levels of transmission on the CDC’s dashboard.

The CDC also recommended people might choose to wear a mask, regardless of the level of transmission, particularly if they are immunocompromised or at increased risk for severe disease for COVID-19. Read a summary of the CDC's recommendations for fully vaccinated people.
