Topics this week during city meetings include:
- Common Council (December 7, 7:30 pm) will talk about:
- a request by the Committee for Citizens with Disabilities for consideration of an ordinance defining duties and responsibilities of the Citizens with Disabilities Commission
- an ordinance allowing the Common Council, standing committees and other city boards and commissions to hold electronic meetings
- denying a request for American Rescue Plan Act funds to be used for school-based COVID testing
- setting a public hearing date of February 1, 2022 for street light special assessments in the Washington Highlands
- approving a fund transfer in the amount of $203,000 to fund hiring incentives for the Police Department
- a contract with EPIC Communications for January to October 2022 for vaccine communications campaign in the amount of $80,000
- approving an agreement with Brown and Caldwell for a city wide stormwater management plan
- authorizing the issuance and sale of a $935,000 General Obligation Promissory Note
- removing parking to add bike lanes on N. 68th Street between Honey Creek Parkway and Wisconsin Avenue

Meeting Format
The Common Council passed a resolution to have hybrid city meetings. This means that the elected officials and public may attend in person or virtually, under a few conditions: universal mask use, physical distancing, staying home if sick, and a virtual option for high-risk individuals.
