Committees will talk about establishing polling places for the City of Wauwatosa

Topics this week during city meetings include:

• Government Affairs (January 4, 6:00 pm) will talk about:
  • a change of agent for a beer and liquor license for Aldi Inc.
  • an ordinance repealing and recreating Section 1.04.020 of the Wauwatosa Municipal Code relative to election official appointments and election day shifts
  • an ordinance repealing Section 1.04.110 of the Wauwatosa Municipal Code relative to polling places
  • an update on establishing polling places for the City of Wauwatosa
  • considering a council policy regarding virtual participation by members of the public for in-person meetings of the Common Council and its standing committees
• Financial Affairs (January 4, 6:45 pm) will talk about a request by the Fire Department for carryover of 2021 salary savings to 2022 Information Systems Account to fund enhanced data monitoring associated with an ambulance staffing pilot program, and rescission of 2021 real and personal property taxes.
• Common Council (January 4, 7:30 pm) will talk about:
  • a public hearing regarding proposed special assessment for the 2022 Street and Alley improvement projects

Meeting Format

The Common Council passed a resolution to have hybrid city meetings. This means that the elected officials and public may attend in person or virtually, under a few conditions: universal mask use, physical distancing, staying home if sick, and a virtual option for high-risk individuals.
