WAUWATOSA, WI — As the summer in Wauwatosa heats up during the runup to Independence Day, village officials say there are two days of road construction that residents should be aware of:
On Monday, July 1 and Tuesday, July 2 officials say workers are going to be very busy on State Street between 74th Street and Jose's Blue Sombrero.

- Concrete sidewalk replacement at Jose's Blue Sombrero lot on both sides of the street for WeEnergies Gas
- Utility work in State Street at Wauwatosa Ave. to adjust a structure prior to paving.
- Paving work in the Jose's Blue Sombrero parking lot.
- Paving work in State Street.
- Paving work on Blanchard from Wauwatosa Ave. to concrete road match point near retail parking lot entrance.
Officials say that State Street eastbound lanes from Wauwatosa Ave. to 74th Street may be restricted during these 2 days. Westbound traffic will continue as it currently exists, they said.
