Labor Day 2018: Wauwatosa Closings, Trash Pickup

Labor Day weekend 2018 affects city offices, the library and trash pickup. Here is your guide to make the necessary adjustments.

WAUWATOSA, WI — If you happen to work at, say, the beach, Labor Day represents one of the busier weekends of the summer, if not the entire year. But for city and county governments, Labor Day is a chance to hit the pause button. Here are the notable closures and trash pickup adjustments as a result of the Labor Day weekend.

City Buildings
City offices and the Wauwatosa Public Library will be closed Monday, September 3 in observance of Labor Day.

Trash Pickup Schedule
There is no curbside collection on Labor Day. Collection will be delayed by one day after this holiday. Collection that would normally occur on Monday, will be collected on Tuesday. Use the MyWauwatosa feature on the homepage to find your personalized collection schedule.
