Manufacturing Day Events Planned Friday Throughout the Area

Gov. Scott Walker will be in Wauwatosa on Friday to celebrate Manufacturing Day, and events throughout the area are planned at businesses.

WISCONSIN -- Governor Scott Walker has proclaimed October as Manufacturing Month throughout Wisconsin to recognize the economic strength that a strong manufacturing industry brings to the state and on Friday, Walker will appear in Wauwatosa for a special event.

Walker will join GE employees, industry leaders, and members of the community Friday afternoon in Wauwatosa to celebrate the 17,000th LOGIQ E9, the premier general imaging ultrasound system that serves more than 600 million patients every year. The LOGIQ E9 will be presented to the University of Wisconsin Health System.

The Milwaukee Business Journal says " MFG DAY" events will be held at Charter Wire, which is holding an onsite career fair, and Pferd Inc., which is holding a facility tour.
