Now Media Group Announces Coverage Changes

Milwaukee NOW media group is reducing the number of their coverage zones and closing their Waukesha newsroom, and moving it to Milwaukee.

METRO MILWAUKEE, WI — Citing the need to become more efficient, Milwaukee NOW, the Journal Sentinel's suburban-zoned weekly edition, announced today that it's reducing the number of their coverage zones and moving their newsroom out of their Waukesha offices in favor of working remotely or in Downtown Milwaukee.

According to a Journal Sentinel article published Thursday, company officials are reducing the Milwaukee NOW group from 13 local areas down to 7 zones, and reorienting their sports coverage away from routine game coverage and more to feature-type pieces.

A Milwaukee Biz Times report states that the group's approximately 30 news staff will relocate from Waukesha to offices in Downtown Milwaukee, in addition to working remotely.
