Police Arrest Mayfair Mall Bathroom Video Suspect: Report

Police in Wauwatosa say they've arrested a man accused of recording multiple videos in a Mayfair Mall bathroom.

WAUWATOSA, WI — A 37-year-old Milwaukee man faces prison time after authorities say he's the person responsible for recording videos of people using a bathroom inside Mayfair Mall.

According to a criminal complaint filed in Milwaukee County, Eric R. Mulkey has been charged with two felonies, both related to taking an intimate photo of a person without their consent.

Investigators say a 16-year-old boy went to the Mayfair Mall security office on Aug. 3 to report an incident. According to the criminal complaint, the 16-year-old told authorities that he was using the bathroom when he noticed a cell phone pressed up against the bathroom wall.

Investigators said the camera lens was pointed at the 16-year-old as he was using the bathroom.

According to the criminal complaint, officers in the Mayfair Mall security office verified the 16-year-old's story, and then identified Mulkey in the security footage.

Police say they went to Mulkey's employer in Mayfair Mall to learn more about the incident, and then responded to his house later in the day.

According to reports, Mukley said "I know why you are here, to talk about the man who harassed me in the bathroom today," when officers approached him at his house.

When police investigated further, they reportedly found a Mayfair Mall bathroom video from Aug. 3, and a second one from June 5. Investigators said these videos were in addition to several other videos recorded under similar circumstances, police said.

Court records state that Mulkey faces up to four-and-a-half years behind bars if he is convicted of the maximum sentence under law.
