- Plan Commission (March 8, 6:00 pm) will have a public hearing related to 11320 West Blue Mound Road for an eating establishment. The applicant proposes to operate an eating establishment, Hermanas, in the former Thirsty Duck location.
- Transportation Affairs (March 9, 6:00 pm) will discuss:
- A possible extension to the current 90 day trial modifying parking regulations near Wauwatosa East High School
- Adding sidewalks on the west side of Mayfair Road between Capitol Drive and Townsend Place and creating a pedestrian underpass under Mayfair Road at the Menomonee River
- Removing parking lanes to add bike lanes on the N. 68th Street repaving project between Milwaukee Avenue and State Street
- Government Affairs (March 9, 6:30 pm) will talk about:
- An application for a special event permit by Blue Ribbon Pub for Jackson Fest at 11302 West Blue Mound Road on Saturday, June 12, 2021 from 3 - 11 pm.
- An annual report by the Wauwatosa Police and Fire Commission
- Report from the City Clerk's office regarding election mailing issues
- Discussion regarding reduction of the Common Council from 16 to 12 alderpersons
- Community Affairs (March 9, 7:30 pm) will review the Historic Preservation Commission Citizen Committee report and consider extending the face covering ordinance.
- Financial Affairs (March 9, 7:30 pm) will discuss anticipated costs for the Police Department renovation project, review Community Development Block Grant requests, funding for future sidewalks along Mayfair Road, a contract for design services as part of the Wauwatosa Bike Share WisDOT Tap Grant project, and approval of 2020 capital project carryovers.
The Common Council passed a resolution that all citizen committees, standing council committees, and Common Council meetings are to be held in virtual format through June 1, 2021. This means there will be no in-person attendance at city hall during meetings.
