  • Ad Hoc Committee (October 19, 5:30 pm) will discuss the data available from the Police Department and possible recommendations for future data collection and will examine the use of no-knock warrants in Wauwatosa and consider asking the Common Council to endorse a recommendation to the state to prohibit no-knock warrants in Wisconsin
  • Financial Affairs (October 20, 6:00 pm) will discuss the 2021 budget related to Development Department, Library, and Debt Service
  • Common Council (October 20, 7:30 pm) will review:
    • an ordinance to remove the licensure requirement for placing concrete for sidewalks and driveways in the City of Wauwatosa
    • a resolution approving a land combination via certified survey map at 1126 North 120th Street
    • a resolution approving a minor planned unit development amendment at 11123 West Burleigh Street for a veterinary clinic

    • an update on current forgivable loan programs to assist small businesses impacted by COVID-19
    • modify an approval for Walnut Glen affordable housing development
    • an update eon East Tosa Walkup development at 6330 W North Avenue
    • a draft RFP for potential redevelopment of Blanchard Street Public Parking Lot at Blanchard Street & N Wauwatosa Avenue

Virtual Meetings

The Common Council passed a resolution that all citizen committees, standing council committees, and Common Council meetings are to be held in virtual format through December 1, 2020. This means there will be no in-person attendance at city hall during meetings.

Budget Schedule

We are in the process of developing the operating and capital budgets. Our operating budget represents day-to-day expenses, wages, utilities, and purchases of items intended to last less than a year. The capital budget includes infrastructure, city property, and long-term equipment purchases.

  • October 20: Financial Affairs will discuss the Library, Development/TIF, and Debt Service
  • October 27: Financial Affairs will discuss the Police and Finance Departments
  • October 29: Financial Affairs will discuss Public Works, Information Systems, Amendments, and budget adoption
  • November 5: Common Council will hold a public hearing on the 2020 Operating and Capital Budgets
  • November 10: Financial Affairs will discuss the Capital Budget
  • November 17: Common Council will consider adopting the budget
  • November 24: Financial Affairs will discuss the Capital Budget
  • December 1: Common Council will consider adopting the Capital Budget

Public Comment

These city meetings will be held virtually via Zoom. The Common Council passed a resolution that all citizen committees, standing council committees, and Common Council meetings are to be held in virtual format through December 1, 2020. This means there will be no in-person attendance at city hall during meetings.
