Too Much on the Line?

WAUWATOSA -- According to a new report by the Milwaukee Business Journal, Milwaukee County gained its first needed local endorsement for the east-west bus rapid transit line (BRT) on Tuesday with a 10-5 vote from Wauwatosa’s Common Council.

The Business Journal is reporting that the seven-mile bus line would run between the downtown Milwaukee lakefront and Swan Boulevard in Wauwatosa, with a key stop in the Milwaukee Regional Medical Center.

Cost for the Milwaukee county project could reach up to $48 million, the Business Journal is reporting.
