WAUWATOSA, WI -- A Wauwatosa police officer was struck by a passing vehicle during a traffic stop earlier this year, and the department released video footage of the incident this week.

According to the Wauwatosa Police Department, an officer was called to the area of N. Mayfair Road to check on a woman who was in the middle of the road.

Police dash camera footage shows the driver of a vehicle who did not allow enough room for the officer on the right-hand side of the road. That vehicle ended up striking the officer on the arm with its side mirror, injuring the officer.
