WAUWATOSA, WI — E-cigarettes and vape devices would be prohibited from various parts of Wauwatosa in a manner similar to that of cigarettes under new ordinances that will be brought before Wauwatosa lawmakers this week.

The Wauwatosa Board of Health voted unanimously in November 2018 to propose amendments to local ordinances in order to prohibit the use of e-cigarettes and other vaping products in all places where tobacco is currently prohibited, including restaurants, bars and workplaces as defined in the Wisconsin Smoke Free Air Act.

The proposed amendments also restrict the sale and possession of e-cigarettes to those 18 years of age and older.
