Wauwatosa House Fire Ruled Not Suspicious
Authorities say the Wauwatosa Fire Department, along with the Milwaukee Fire Department, placed the fire under control in less than 15 min.
WAUWATOSA, WI – Authorities in Wauwatosa say a Sunday house fire on the 2200 block of N. 70th Street was not suspicious, and that it appeared to start near a computer on the second floor.
According to the Wauwatosa Fire Department, firefighters were called out to a home on the 2200 block of N. 70th Street at just after 1 a.m. Sunday on a report of a fire. Crews were met with moderate fire and smoke on the second floor of the two-story home.
Authorities say the Wauwatosa Fire Department, along with the Milwaukee Fire Department, placed the fire under control in less than 15 minutes. The fire was reported by the tenant who lives on the second floor.

Wauwatosa fire officials say the second floor suffered fire and smoke damage throughout the house. The first floor suffered moderate water damage.
"The exact cause of the fire is undetermined but appears to have started near a computer in an
office like room on the second floor," Wauwatosa fire officials said in a news release. "The fire does not appear to be suspicious and the investigation has been closed by the Wauwatosa Fire Marshall."
