Wauwatosa Log Cabin Is On The Move Again
With a three-story apartment complex in the works, the historic log cabin is now on the move to North Ave. Here's when:

WAUWATOSA, WI -- A piece of Wauwatosa's history is on the move again - maybe as early as Christmas - as plans for a three-story apartment building on the same site move forward.
According to a JSOnline report this week, Wauwatosa's 1921 log cabin was moved to 2515 W. Wauwatosa Ave. in 1921 - the site where it stands today.
A developer came forward earlier this year with plans for a three-story apartment building. City officials voted 9-4 in October to approve the apartment building.

According to official documents, the apartment building proposal involves the construction of a three-story, 27-unit residential apartment building. The building would include three studio units, 21 one-bedroom units and three two-bedroom units. 34 parking stalls would be included in an underground parking garage.
Chris Houden the developer of that apartment complex. In April, he said he intended to donate the log cabin to a local architecture firm for North Ave. office space.
