What is the deadline to vote in-person?

The polls are open 7:00 am - 8:00 pm on Tuesday, April 7. Find your polling location.

What is the deadline to return my absentee ballot?

The deadline to return your absentee ballot is extended to April 13, 4:00 pm. You can return it via mail or by dropping it off in the secure payment depository at City Hall (7725 W North Avenue). This secure payment depository is located on the south west end of the building.

How do I submit an absentee ballot, and must it be signed if I’m quarantined alone?

Your absentee ballot must be returned by 4:00 pm on April 13 via mail or the secure payment depository at City Hall. You must have a witness signature on your returned absentee ballot.

Has my polling place changed, and if so, where do I vote on Tuesday?

We consolidated a few polling locations: If you normally vote at Fire Station 51, the Wauwatosa Women's Club, or Hoyt Park Grand Hall, we moved these locations to the Muellner Building at Hart Park. Find your polling location.

What are the in-person voting hours?

You can vote in person at your polling location on Tuesday, April 7, 7:00 am - 8:00 pm.

What measures are being taken to maintain social-distancing during voting hours?

Wash your hands before heading to your polling place on Election Day. Hand hygiene is essential for a safe voting experience for everyone at the polls.

We are assigning poll workers to remind people to physically distance themselves. We are also wiping down surfaces consistently throughout the day. Please be patient when voting at the polls. The public health procedures being used will slow down some parts of the process when you have to interact with poll workers.

What is on my ballot, and how can I see it before heading to the polls?

You can preview your ballot online before heading to the polls.

What should I bring with me to make my voting process as easy as possible?

Bring your valid photo ID. Some people are opting to bring their own black ballpoint pen.

What happens if I am in line waiting to vote and the voting hours have ended?

If you are still waiting in line at 8:00 pm, you will be able to vote in person on April 7.

Can I still register to vote?

Yes, you can register to vote at your polling location on April 7. Online voter registration is closed.
