- Common Council (November 5, 7:30 pm) will hold a public hearing on the 2020 Operating and Capital Budgets. They will also discuss:
- setting a special election on April 6, 2021 for the office of District 5 Alderperson
- approving the RFP for development of the Blanchard Street Parking Lot
- amending the code of ordinances to remove licensure for placing concrete for sidewalks and driveways in the City of Wauwatosa
- awarding a contract for the Hart Park and Library Bathroom Remodel Project
- approving Community Development Block Grant funding levels, 2019 Annual Plan amendments, and a Level III fund transfer
- awarding contract for processing of recyclable materials to Republic Services
- awarding contract for municipal solid waste disposal to Advanced Disposal
- awarding contract for hauling of solid waste and tires from the City's drop off center to John's Disposal Service, Inc.
- approving the request to extend Milwaukee County Emergency Medical Services Intergovernmental Agreement
- a resolution endorsing the Wauwatosa Police Department's updated policy regarding body worn cameras
- a resolution adopting the City of Wauwatosa Neighborhood Greenway Implementation Guidance and Assessment (Greenway Plan)
- a resolution setting a public hearing date of December 1, 2020 for proposed assessments for street and alley improvements

Virtual Meetings
The Common Council passed a resolution that all citizen committees, standing council committees, and Common Council meetings are to be held in virtual format through December 1, 2020. This means there will be no in-person attendance at city hall during meetings.

Budget Schedule
We are in the process of developing the operating and capital budgets. Our operating budget represents day-to-day expenses, wages, utilities, and purchases of items intended to last less than a year. The capital budget includes infrastructure, city property, and long-term equipment purchases.
- October 20: Financial Affairs will discuss the Library, Development/TIF, and Debt Service
- October 27: Financial Affairs will discuss the Police and Finance Departments
- October 29: Financial Affairs will discuss Public Works, Information Systems, Amendments, and budget adoption
- November 5: Common Council will hold a public hearing on the 2020 Operating and Capital Budgets
- November 10: Financial Affairs will discuss the Capital Budget
- November 17: Common Council will consider adopting the budget
- November 24: Financial Affairs will discuss the Capital Budget
- December 1: Common Council will consider adopting the Capital Budget
Public Comment
These city meetings will be held virtually via Zoom. The Common Council passed a resolution that all citizen committees, standing council committees, and Common Council meetings are to be held in virtual format through December 1, 2020. This means there will be no in-person attendance at city hall during meetings.
