Topics this week during city meetings include:

• Committee of the Whole (October 6, 6:00 pm) will review the quarterly management update, discuss a proclamation or resolution supporting the Fire and Police Departments, and hear an overview of Wisconsin Open Meetings Law, requirements for closed session, and First Amendment rights of Common Council members
• Common Council (October 6, 7:30 pm) will:
  • review a resolution approving an agreement for the Wisconsin Avenue bridge design
  • review a five year contract with Axon Enterprise, Inc. for a video recording system, approving fund transfer and approving use of funds in the 2021 Capital Budget
  • approve a contract for renovation of a portion of the Wauwatosa Police Department
  • modify the Debt Management Policy to set a debt limitation of 4% of equalized value, limit levy-paid debt service to be no greater than 15% of expenditures and establish a goal of cash financing 40% of the capital budget by 2030
  • review a resolution recommended by the Sustainability Committee approving clean energy goals for the City of Wauwatosa
