Over the next two weeks, a number of construction projects will take place in that area. Here's the update from Wauwatosa officials:

The sidewalk on the south side and electrical work is nearly complete. You can now walk all the way down State St. on the new concrete sidewalk, or on temporary asphalt sidewalk in some areas where underground work continues. Now the work shifts to the north side. You’ll see workers pouring the sidewalk on the north side in the next two weeks from 68th to 74th.

Hart Park Lane (the parking lane directly north of the stadium and tennis courts) is now closed for resurfacing. This area will be closed for several weeks as we resurface it. Be mindful of this construction area as you go to events or exercise in Hart Park. See all parking available in the Village.
Water Feature
"Many people have contacted us about the water feature in front of the pedestrian bridge. The repair is being done by a third-party contractor, and unfortunately they are very behind schedule and waiting on new stone pieces to arrive. This happens when a contractor overcommits to a project. Thanks for your patience. We’re pushing to see progress on this feature," Wauwatosa officials said.
Lane Markings
Workers just completed the final pavement on streets near Wauwatosa Ave. Harwood as well as Harmonee and Underwood. In the next two to four weeks, pavement markings will be added on these streets. It’s possible that a lane will be pushed over, but this won’t be disruptive to traffic, and will most likely occur between 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. work hours.
