Wrong-Way Driver On I-43 Hits Snow Plow
Authorities are reporting that a wrong-way driver on I-43 ended up striking a county snow plow and tried leaving the scene.

MILWAUKEE, WI — A 22-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested after authorities say he drove the wrong way on I-43 and collided with a county snow plow truck.
According to the Milwaukee County Sheriff's office, on Sunday, Feb. 4, at about 3:45 a.m., deputies responded to a report of a wrong way driver traveling north in the south lanes of I-43 at W. North Avenue. The driver had struck a county plow, knocking a plow shoe off the truck.
Following the crash, deputies report finding Juan Ivan Braun Garcia, 22, outside of his stopped vehicle brushing snow from the windows. He had corrected his direction, and drove away when deputies approached.

Authorities reported that Garcia was pulled over, and then performed poorly on standardized field sobriety tests. He was arrested for felony 2nd Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety, and cited for OWI-1st and Driving the Wrong Way on a divided highway. The felony charge carries a penalty of up to 10 years in prison.
