Hit & run – dog killed, person injured in Town of West Bend, Wi (washingtoncountyinsider.com) — A person was injured and a dog was killed in a hit-and-run Monday night on Hillcrest Drive in the Town of West Bend, and deputies are asking for your help. Investigators believe the suspect vehicle is a silver or gray late-model Chevrolet or GMC pickup that continued east after the crash. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Washington County Sheriff’s Office immediately.

Spring Fling is May 9, 2026 at Schmidt Century Farm (washingtoncountyinsider.com) — Families can enjoy a free Spring Fling at Schmidt Century Farm just outside West Bend on Saturday, May 9, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Kids and adults can meet baby animals, play on farm toys, browse the Farm Store, and pick up flower arrangements for Mother’s Day at 5485 St. Anthony Road in West Bend.
   

3. "1776: The Musical" Fundraiser for West Bend Library (gmtoday.com) — Your West Bend Community Memorial Library is the focus of a May 3 fundraiser featuring a 2 p.m. showing of “1776: The Musical” at The Bend Theater downtown. Hosted by the League of Women Voters, the pay-what-you-can event supports the library’s $2,400 fundraising goal while celebrating the Declaration of Independence’s 250th anniversary.
   

4. Spartans stay unbeaten, roll past Kewaskum (gmtoday.com) — West Bend West’s baseball team stayed perfect at 6-0 with an 8-4 home win over Kewaskum, highlighted by a four-hit day from senior Dieter Pommer.
