• Wisconsin Rapids Opens Nearly All Streets to ATVs and UTVs (off-road.com) — Wisconsin Rapids has opened nearly all city streets to ATV and UTV traffic, giving riders much easier access to homes and businesses while still banning use on Highways 13, 34, 54, and 73. Riders must carry a valid driver’s license and insurance, follow park restrictions, and watch for new signs at city limits as officials review the policy annually for safety.
   

• Hardwick Sentenced to Prison Time for Homicide by Delivery of Drugs (wsau.com) — A Nekoosa man has been sentenced in Wisconsin Rapids to seven years in prison plus ten years of extended supervision for providing drugs that led to a 2025 overdose death. The judge also ordered restitution, no contact with the victim’s family, and absolute sobriety, while the defendant has signaled plans to appeal.
