The Natrona County School District, in partnership with all stakeholders, is committed to being fiscally responsible and purposeful with the resources and funds provided to us by our state and local community while maintaining exceptional educational environments for all.

Due largely to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, Wyoming, along with the rest of the nation, has seen a significant economic decline. Our state legislators are working diligently to address these concerns and we appreciate their dedicated work during these very challenging times.

The Natrona County School District is anticipating significant upcoming reductions to state funding.

As we work through the annual budget development process for Fiscal Year 2021-2022, the Board Budget Committee is requesting stakeholders to provide their input and feedback. (Click here for the current 2020-2021 Annual Budget)

We believe the steadiest way to overcome the challenges in front of us is through proactive planning, collaborative and inclusive conversations, effective operations, and by maintaining our commitment to our priority budget development strategies.

The Board Budget development process continues to be guided by the following priorities:

1. Maintain a focus on student learning and the Districts strategic goals, funding essential functions and services

2. Achieve operational efficiencies and effectiveness

3. Maintain a competitive compensation package

4. Maintain facilities to avoid the effects of deferred maintenance and ensure safe and secure environments
